Materials
Materials: Wool 4-Ply Worsted (4 oz. pull skein) Color A (Dk. Pink) 3 skeins; Color B (Med. Pink) 3 skeins; Color C (Lt. pink) 3 skeins; Color D (Cranberry) 3 skeins.
OR 4-ply knitting yarn (4 ox. pull skein) Color A 3 skeins; color B 3 skeins; color C 3 skeins; color D 3 skeins.
Instructions
Note: Afghan is worked in stripes of 2 rows each of A, B, C and D. When changing colors, work off last 2 loops of last dc at end of 2nd row of stripe with the color to be used on following stripe.
Pattern: With color A ch 219.
Row 1 (right side): 1 dc in 6th ch from hook and in each of next 3 ch, * (2 dc in next ch, 1 dc in next ch) 6 times, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch, repeat from * across, end (2 dc in next ch, 1 dc in next ch) 6 times, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in last ch, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Skip first 4 dc, * working in back loops, work 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc) 6 times, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, skip 3 dc, 1 dc around post st of previous row, skip 3, repeat from * across, end 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc) 6 times, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, skip 3 dc, 1 dc in turning ch, ch 3, turn.
Repeat row 2 for pat, working until there are 9 stripes of each color. Fasten off.
